What to expect
Take the chance and experience a walking touralong the streets of the city and explore the sights of Bucharest while  learning the stories behind them.  There is deffinately not a better way to explore a city than accompanied by a local guide. The tour starts in tour starts in Revolution Square, in front of the King Carol I statue. Formerly known as Palace Square (The Former Royal palace is just across the street),  this place has witnessed some of the most important events in Romanian recent history. Here is the place from where, in December 1989 the dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu made his last speech to a crowd that quickly turned against him, setting on the Romanian revolution. The bullet holes are still visible in some of the buildings around. Then, after leaving the square the tour will continue toward  south along Victory Avenue, perhaps the most beautiful street in the wholecity, full with historic buildings, including several palaces, museums and the beautiful and famous Kretzulescu Church. Next on, the tour will focus on exploring the the Bucharest’s Old Town, the heart of medieval Bucharest, the literal crossroads between East and West. The cobbled streets are filled with bars, cafés, shops and restaurants and the guide will be happy to tell you thestories and indicate you the favourite places by locals. Youwon`t miss the chance to discover the calming courtyard of Stavropoleos Monastery, neither the oldest still in use restaurant in the city - Hanul Lui Manuc,  which shows  a glimpse into an earlier time. You will also get the chance to visit one of the most instagramable(and  beautiful, of course) bookstores in the world and try a traditional covrig (basically a soft pretzel), one of the most popular street foods in Romania. The tour finish in front of the ruins of the Old Princely Court, which dates to the 15th centur, the former residence of Vlad the Impaler, aka Count Dracula! If you choose the option with lunch included, we will have a full lunch menu at one of the most charming place in the city, Caru` cu Bere, right away on the old town. There will be a full taste experience, with 2 main dishes, one side dish, salade and of course dessert, in a variety of Romanian traditional dishes to choose. There is no better way to end up a tour with a local than having a propriate lunch where you can discuss about the daily life in Romania .
